What we collect when Callfoyer answers a call for you, who can hear it, and how long we keep it. Written to be read, not to be survived.
Pending review
This document is published while it goes through legal review. It describes what Callfoyer does today and we hold ourselves to it, but the wording may change.
1. What we collect
When someone calls a number you have forwarded to Callfoyer, we receive the caller's number, the time and length of the call, the audio of the call, and anything the caller tells the agent. We also hold the profile you build during setup: your services, hours, service area, prices and the rules you write.
We do not buy caller data, and we do not sell or share what your callers say with anyone outside the sub-processors listed below.
The short version
Your calls are yours. You choose who on your team can hear them, deletion is a request we act on by hand, and every time our support staff opens an account it is recorded against their name.
2. Call recordings and transcripts
Every answered call produces a recording and a transcript. Both are stored encrypted at rest. The agent announces that the call is recorded at the start of the conversation, in the wording you approve during setup.
Two-party consent states are handled by that announcement. If you operate somewhere that requires more, you can add to the greeting in your agent settings — we do not remove or shorten a disclosure you have written.
- Recordings are never used to train a general-purpose model.
- When a call is deleted, the audio and the transcript go together.
3. Who can access your data
You, and the team members you invite at the permission level you give them. Callfoyer support staff cannot browse accounts: opening yours creates a session that expires on its own and is recorded against the staff member's name. You can ask for that record at any time.
4. How long we keep it
We keep recordings and transcripts for as long as your account is open. There is no automatic expiry yet and no per-plan retention window — we would rather tell you that than publish a schedule we do not enforce.
Ask us to delete one call, a run of them, or the whole account, and we will do it and confirm when it is done. That request goes to a person rather than a button in the app for now. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires; nothing else survives a deletion.
5. Your rights
You can correct your profile yourself, any time. For a copy of your call history, or deletion of an account and everything in it, write to us and we will do it by hand — there is no self-serve export yet. Where the GDPR or the CCPA applies those rights are yours by law, we do not charge for exercising them, and asking by email makes the request no weaker.
A caller who wants their own recording removed should ask you, the account owner — it is your record. Forward the request to us and we will remove that call.
